The University has launched a new alumni card as part of its affinity program for the entire alumni community.
The alumni card has a range of uses, first and foremost amongst them being to assist alumni in logging on to the University of Sydney alumni online community, which will be launched in July.
"The card is an enduring memento of the University of Sydney experience that alumni can have with them permanently, wherever they may be," said the Director of Alumni Relations Tracey Beck.
"Ultimately it will have a range of benefits and services attached to it that will add value to all members of our alumni community."
The alumni card already entitles alumni to discounts to the University's increasingly popular Sydney Ideas lecture series (three tickets for the price of two), and proof of their entitlement to reduced-cost alumni membership of the Library (visit www.usyd.edu.au/alumni/library for full details).
The card is being sent to all alumni with postal addresses from May through to July this year. It had its inaugural distribution at graduation ceremonies in China in 2007 and has been issued to all new alumni at Sydney graduation ceremonies from 2008 onwards.
