| 1. | The Maximum Duration of any trip covered by the policy is 365 days. Persons taking trips of more than 180 days must email details to the Audit & Risk Management Office 10 days prior to departure. | |
| 2. | Travel insurance provided by The University of Sydney does not cover issues below. It is the travellers responsibility to arrange their own insurance associated with: | |
| (a) | Accompanying spouse and family (children). | |
| (b) | Any associated holiday or personal travel. | |
| 3. | If the traveller has "pre-existing medical conditions" could the traveller please supply to Audit and Risk Management10 days prior to departure a letter from your treating doctor advising of the pre-existing medical condition, how the condition is managed and that the traveller is suitable to travel overseas. | |

Students on work experience or placement
The University maintains a personal accident policy for all undergraduate and postgraduate students.
The policy provides cover whilst the student is engaged in Campus/Course/University related activities and/or practical placement or community placement activities including the necessary domestic direct travel to and from such activities, including:
activities that are a course requirement or are sanctioned by the Dean of the Faculty, authorised officer for the Faculty, or Head of Department concerned; or
students who are not employees or workers of the organisation they are placed with for the purposes of Workers' Compensation legislation.
