Events Calendar

The University is pleased to announce an updated calendar of events continuing its expanded overseas events, graduation and alumni program into 2008.

Ceremonies in 2008

The University plans to hold two overseas graduation ceremonies in 2008, in Shanghai and Hong Kong for graduates from the Pearl River Delta area (Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Macao).

Dates and venues for these events are not yet finalised but it is expected that they will be:

Shanghai – Saturday 18 October 2008
Hong Kong – Tuesday 21 October 2008

Students who have completed studies in 2007 or will complete studies at the end of Semester 1 2008 are encouraged to consider attendance at the Graduation ceremonies.

You are reminded that you can attend your graduation ceremony in the Great Hall at the University and also attend an overseas ceremony where you will be presented to the Chancellor in the company of your family and friends.

If you wish to attend one of these overseas ceremonies, follow the instructions in Registration of Interest below.

Alumni Reunion Receptions will be held in association with Shanghai and Hong Kong Graduation Ceremonies.

In addition, Alumni Reunion Receptions are planned as follows :–

UK Alumni Receptions, 11 October 2008
North America Alumni Conference (SUGUNA), Philadelphia, 26-27 September 2008

If you wish to attend one of these Alumni Reunion Receptions, follow the instructions in Registration of Interest below.

As the details of overseas events, graduation and alumni program in each city are different, to register interest click on the city in which you wish to participate.

Interested students and alumni are encouraged to register as soon as possible.

Once all details of the events are finalised, all who have registered interest will be contacted by email. Please note that there may be limits on the numbers who can attend these events. If interest exceeds the capacity of venues, those who register early will be given preference. There may be a small non refundable fee associated with attending any of these events. You will be advised in advance should this occur.

Should it be necessary to amend any of these dates, an announcement will be made on this site, and all students/alumni who have registered interest will be notified by email.
