CAE examination is recognised throughout the world as a highly reliable test for both employment and study purposes.
CAE course is intended for advanced level students. CET teachers will prepare you for the examination which is held in December each year.

Exam details
CAE is proof of a high level of English language competence for those wishing to use English at work or for study.
This test has an emphasis on real-world tasks and is recognised by many British and Australian universities for English language entrance requirements. For English entry requirements in the University of Sydney you will need to contact the faculty of your chosen degree. Generally, IELTS and TOEFL are the recognised English exam.
Five components: Reading, Writing, English in Use, Listening and Speaking.
Available: March, June and December.

Costs & dates
The CET Cambridge preparation course is held over 10 weeks.
The total cost (including exam) is:
AUD$4,758.
The 2010 course dates are:
- 5 April to 11 June
- 27 September to 3 December

Eligibility
To be eligible for this course you will need to provide your results from your First Certificate English (FCE) or CAE test. If you have neither, you will be required to do an entry test - via a CET qualifying test.
