About Sydney

Sydney is a beautiful and cosmopolitan city. It has magnificent beaches, walking tracks, sporting activities and restaurants offering food from all over the world. Visit our local markets, museums, theme parks, Botanical Gardens and our famous Opera House! You can go to wonderful shows, theatre and concerts.
In the winter months (June-September) you will need warm clothing.

Transport

Sydney has a sophisticated public transport system, which operates 24 hours. You can buy tickets for trains, buses or ferries to take you anywhere.

Accommodation

Accommodation options vary. We recommend Homestay, where you live with an Australian family who provide accommodation and most of your meals. Homeshare is an option for independent students. We will help you to find the accommodation you want.

Living expenses

You should allow at least A$15,000 for your living expenses (outside tuition) for each year you study in Australia.

Working in Sydney

You can work part-time as a student for up to 20 hours a week when you obtain your Student Work Permit.
