CET university entry test (e-test)
We offer the CET university entry test to students completing their academic language programs at the advanced level. It is offered to coincide with our terms and university semester dates.
If you pass the CET university entry test, and meet the necessary academic requirements, you do not need to take any other English language test for entry to a University of Sydney degree. You can progress directly into your preferred undergraduate or postgraduate degree at this University.
Eligibility
The diagram below shows which students are eligible for the CET university direct entry test. They are the ones who have:
| Minimum 10 Weeks studying at CET + Completing AE Advanced B or Higher Advanced level |

| Minimum 10 Weeks studying at CET + Commenced at CET with IELTS 6.0, or TOEFL 550 with TWE 4.0 |

The test is designed to test your readiness to study at the University of Sydney. It has four parts:
- Interview
- Listening
- Reading
- Writing
PLEASE NOTE: If you wish to enrol into an advanced Academic English program for only 5-weeks you must take an IELTS as you are not eligible for an e-test.
E-test dates- 2008 (subject to change)
- 7-8 February - Thursday/Friday Week 5
- 2 June - Monday Week 5
- 10-11 July - Thursday/Friday Week 5
- 9 December - Tuesday Week 5
