IELTS Registration - ALL registrations for IELTS will be conducted at the Centre for English Teaching, University of Sydney. Registration days are: Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday.

The Centre for English Teaching is approximately a 10 minute walk from Redfern Station and 20 minute bus trip from Central Station. For more information visit the Location section of the website.

You can apply for IELTS at the below times:

Applying for IELTS must be done in person. You can not apply on behalf of someone else and no one else is able to apply for you, you are the sole person eligible for registration.

Please bring the following with you:

1. Two (2) recent colour passport photographs with 80% of your face and white background
2. Your current valid passport
3. A PHOTOCOPY of the personal details page from your current valid passport
4. Application Form
5. Payment - Credit card (Mastercard, Bankcard or Visa - Credit card Authority form), money order or bank cheque (personal cheques and cash are not accepted)
6. Your previous IELTS test details (if applicable).

Your test date is mailed to you 2 or 3 days before the test. You will receive a registration card with test details. If you have not received the registration card at least three (3) days before your test date, contact the IELTS Officer on +61 2 9036 7938.
You must bring your valid passport and registration card with you on test day.

Prior to the three week cut-off period, IELTS requirements permit a refund minus a $70 transfer fee. Please download Request for Refund or Test Date form and send to address below.

Within the three week cut-off period, IELTS requirements mean you will be liable to forfeit your test fee unless you are able to provide appropriate medical evidence to support your postponement or cancellation. If you have appropriate medical evidence there is a cost of $70 administration fee and you will need to complete a Request for Refund or Test Date Transfer form and send or fax to:
