Seven levels (elementary to proficiency)
General English (GE) improves your English skills in conversation, listening, writing, reading and grammar. The aim is to give you the confidence to live and work in the English-speaking world. It is also excellent preparation for Academic English (AE) courses.
You can enter at any level and progress at your own pace. Our teaching style encourages interactive language use so you will have many opportunities to practice the skills you are learning.
GE courses include social activities and excursions. They attract students from many different parts of the world. In your classes you will meet students from Central and South America, South East Asia, the Pacific, Europe, China, Japan and Korea.
Students can enter ongoing GE courses any Monday. Minimum study is two (2) weeks. GE courses are structured for flexible progress around five-week modules.
On a tourist visa, you can study GE courses part-time for up to 12 weeks and on a working holiday visa for up to 17 weeks. On a student visa, you can study full-time for longer.

Activities
