Weather  
Sydney monthly temperatures and rainfall  Sydney has a sub-tropical climate with four seasons in the year. In the summer months (December to February), temperatures range from 17-25 degrees celsius (65-76F). If you come in winter (June to August), you will need warm clothing as the average winter temperatures range from 8-17 degrees celsius (46-65F). Autumn and spring have the mildest weather.
Weather and climate by the city of Sydney The climate around Australia varies significantly. It is always important to know what the temperature range is of the area you are going so you know what to take.
Bureau of meteorology In warmer climates it is important that you drink plenty of water throughtout the day to make up for dehydration. During the hotter months, in Sydney it is recommended that you drink up to two litres of water per day whereas in the Northern Territory this can be up to four litres per day.
