Uniting Church Chaplains at the University of Sydney
As a welcoming and inclusive community of the Christian church, the Uniting Church in Australia Chaplains, Assistant Chaplains and Mission Workers are present at university to:
- Enable students and staff to find their way into a mature and relevant understanding of the Christian faith.
- Provide counselling in areas such as relationship, loneliness, grief, sexuality, family and faith issues.
- Assist in finding student accommodation.
- Affirming the value of continuing academic study and discipline.
- Encourage dialogue and respect for people of other faiths or of no faith.
- Put students in touch with other support services on campus.
- Work closely with Christian Students Uniting (UCATSA) student group.
