Symposium Submission Guideline
All work submitted for presentation must be original. The submitting author should obtain the consent of co-authors/institutions for the material to be presented at the Symposium. Abstracts will be selected through a peer-review process. Authors whose abstracts are accepted for presentation will be responsible for all costs associated with attending the Symposium.
In submitting an abstract the author (or co-authors) agrees to grant the University of Sydney the permission:
- to reproduce, via any medium whatsoever, the abstract and any poster created there from and to distribute copies thereof;
- to publish the abstract if accepted, in an edited book
The closing date for submission of abstracts is 5 October 2009.
The following points should be noted:
- Abstracts should be submitted in English
- Abstracts should be brief (a maximum of 300 words excluding the title)
- Abstracts must include the abstract title, name(s) of author and contact details, along with a brief curriculum vitae
- Presenters must register for the conference to be eligible to present.
Abstracts should be submitted via email to Ms Xing Jin at by 5 October 2009 (in the subject line of the email write: ‘Global Cities_your last name’).
The submitting author will receive notification of acceptance via email.
Following a peer-review process, abstracts will be accepted for oral or poster presentation. Two renowned researchers will give keynote addresses; there will be opening reception, a special symposium lunch, study tours and other opportunities to interact intensively with colleagues.
