Celebrating 150 years through Art "From
Vision to Sesquicentenary"
The University of Sydney Alumni
Council has selected paintings and sketches from the University's prestigious
Art Collection to produce a limited edition art book to commemorate the Sesquicentenary
of the University of Sydney.

works have been donated to the University's Art Collection over time and include
artwork by Judy Cassab, Michiel Coxcie, Grace Crowley, William Dobell, Russell
Drysdale, Donald Friend, John Glover, Norman Lindsay, Conrad Martens, Sidney Nolan,
Margaret Preston, Lloyd Rees, Jeffrey Smart and Arthur Streeton.
Only
56 of the 2,500 artworks in the Collection have been selected for reproduction.
This selection reflects the depth, quality and variety of the University's Collection,
and makes a statement both about the University and the artists represented. The
book is of impressive quality, leather bound, in a slip case, with 56 large form
at full colour spot glazed reproductions. Funds generated from sales of the book
will provide benefits such as student scholarships.
The cost of this
beautifully presented Limited Edition (of which only 1000 copies have been produced)
