The Alumni Council and the Alumni Relations Office
held a Strategic Planning Workshop in the Holme and Sutherland Room in the Holme
Building on Tuesday 26 February. The Workshop was well attended by members of
the Council and representatives of the Alumni Relations Office. The Strategic
Planning Workshop has been held annually over the past three years to provide
an opportunity to review prior year results and to commence planning and identification
of key priorities for the coming year. The Workshop took the form of plenary
and working group sessions. The President of the Alumni Council, Dr Barry Catchlove,
opened proceedings and provided an introduction. Ms Beck then provided an overview
of alumni demographics and an update of results for 2007 against the Alumni Relations
Strategic plan. The University of Sydney Strategic Plan 2007-2010 consultation
document was also discussed. Plenary sessions were also held to provide members
with an update of the activities of the Council's Sub-committees and the Alumni
Centre.
