The 2008 Convocation Medallist is Andrew McLeod. Andrew has an
outstanding academic record and graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Advanced)
with 1st Class Honours. He also been awarded a number of prizes for his academic
achievements including the University Medal.
Andrew has made numerous contributions
to University life. He has been an active participant in student organisations
such as the Students Representative Council (SRC), the Union Clubs and Societies
Committee and the Sydney University Wind Orchestra, which he co-founded. He has
also served on numerous University committees. The Vice-Chancellor, Dr
Michael Spence, presented the Convocation Medal to Andrew at the Alumni Reception
in MacLaurin Hall on 05 September 2008. Other nominees for the 2008 Convocation
