Mr Grahame Cox's statement:

Member, Alumni Council 1970-2009

Currently elected Pharmacy Representative on Alumni Council (previously represented Science until Pharmacy achieved Faculty status)

Presently Honorary Secretary (2006 - 2009) of the Alumni Council and previously Vice President (2004 - 2005) with several terms on the Executive Committee.

Served as Chair of the Alumni Awards Committee (2006 - 2009)

Served on the Sub-Committee on restructuring the Standing Committee leading to the establishment of the Alumni Council. Supports the continuing role of the Alumni Council as the prime central body designed to bring together all living Alumni of the University of Sydney to reflect and promote their interests and involvement in the activities of the University of Sydney.

Supports the development of an Alumni Charter which will outline

1. The University of Sydney's commitment to its Alumni by, among other things,

- Devoting adequate resources to the alumni relationship
- Providing high quality information about the University
- Making it easy for Alumni to maintain life-long engagement with the University

2. how Alumni can engage with the University by, among other things,

- Staying in touch
- Taking an interest in activities and events provided by Alumni Chapters and the University
- Spreading the word especially through acting as ambassadors for the University through their professional and social networks

Committed to attend and participate in the regular meetings of the Alumni Council and its Executive, if elected, and any appropriate Sub-Committees and activities to enhance its role in the life of the University, and to use the knowledge and background gained as a Member of the Alumni Council to promote its continuing and diversifying role.

- Pharmacy Guild of Australia (PGA) since 2000
- Australian College of Health Services Executives since 1993
- Association of Regulatory and Clinical Scientists 1993-1999

Offices Held
- PGA NSW Branch Committee Member (elected) since September 2005
- PGA National Women and Young Pharmacists Committee since October 2005
- Pharmacy Graduate Training Course Steering Committee since January 2006
- Women for Pharmacy Group since August 2004
- Co-Deputy President of the Pharmacy Alumni Association and Executive Committee since September 2009

Achievements
- Recipient of the UNSW Leanne Miller Memorial Prize for best performance in the part time B.Health. Admin. Course
- Congress Chair of the third annual Pharmacy Women's Congress held in Manly in 2006 and Master of Ceremonies of the sixth annual Congress held this year
- Completion of Governance for New Directions and Not for Profits courses held by the Australian Institute of Company Directors
- Mentor and lecturer for the Pharmacy Practice Foundation Business Undergraduate Mentoring Program (2007 - present)
- Both pharmacies winning local small business awards in 2008 and being finalists in 2009

Lillian has had a diverse career background, including scientific affairs in the pharmaceutical industry and as a community pharmacy owner of two pharmacies in south west Sydney.

She is passionate about promoting leadership by women and young pharmacists and is committed to mentoring as a means to encourage links between Pharmacy alumni. Lillian recognises the cultural diversity of alumni and thus seeks to promote programs that are relevant to all. She believes that the engagement of alumni with the University will facilitate their personal and professional growth as well as promoting the Pharmacy profession within the University and the wider community.
