Biomedical engineering is an interdisciplinary branch of engineering, encompassing aspects of mechanical, mechatronic and electrical engineering, as well as the biological sciences.
Biomedical engineers use engineering principles to understand, modify, control, or interact with biological systems, and develop the technology used to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
This four-year degree covers all aspects of mechanical and biomedical engineering, including the study of biomedical technology, biomechanics, biomaterials and orthopaedic engineering.
