This program gives medical radiation science professionals the opportunity to expand their knowledge, skills, and higher reasoning abilities in their field of specialisation.

Students are also given the opportunity to broaden their exposure to the wider field of health sciences by selecting subjects from a wide range of health-related units.

Specialisation is available in the areas of:

•    Computed tomography
•    Radiographic image interpretation
•    Magnetic resonance imaging
•    Advanced nuclear medicine
•    Advanced radiation therapy
•    Clinical studies

Information for international students
This course does not meet the CRICOS requirements for obtaining an Australian student visa, however International students can complete the course by distance modules from their home country.

Please note that the closing date for domestic student applications for Semester 1 2010 will be 30 October 2009. Applications submitted after this date will not be accepted.

Course completion requirements

48 credit points: students are to complete as required the core, elective and general elective units of study shown in the Table of units of study for the award as set out in the Faculty of Health Sciences handbook.
