The Master of Veterinary Public Health is a fully distance program, requiring no visits to Sydney. It is focused on the development of high-level technical skills and is designed for busy people, working full-time.

Offered in conjunction with the Veterinary Public Health Management program and the Faculty of Medicine's School of Public Health, the Master of Veterinary Public Health is a distance program covering technical areas of preventative veterinary medicine and public health. Highly suitable for those unable to visit Sydney, the course will allow you to develop skills in veterinary epidemiology, biostatistics, advanced data analysis, animal health economics and a range of other related areas. The course is offered at Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma and Masters levels. Honours, requiring additional research, is also available. As a student in this program, you will join the growing network of animal health professionals in the veterinary public health management program and gain contact with colleagues and experts from around the world.

Course completion requirements

48 credit points of core and elective units of study and a research project, with a WAM of 70 or more in the first 24 credit points of study

When you complete this program, you will be able to contribute your expertise to the prevention, detection and control of disease in a range of contexts. All graduates will have applied and theoretical technical skills in veterinary public health, with an eye on the policy framework and changing context in which veterinary public health professionals operate.
