The opportunity to build the degree you need to support the career you want a flexible postgraduate degree in a range of animal-related areas.
This flexible postgraduate coursework program in Veterinary Studies allows you to select a program of study that best suits your career goals. You can build your degree by selecting from all postgraduate units of study offered in the Faculty of Veterinary Science, subject to the availability of supervisors in some areas. It is possible to study this program with a major in Small Animal Clinical Studies, but admission to this major is highly competitive and most students take veterinary studies without a major. Please note that the Small Animal Clinical Studies major is associated with full-time employment at the University and will not be available to international applicants on a Student Visa
Course completion requirements
48 credit points of coursework and research, including 12 credit points of research
On campus attendance pattern

End qualification
Veterinary studies without a major will allow students the opportunity to tailor a degree to their career goals. It is expected that, at Graduate Certificate level, students will successfully complete units of study that support the core skills they need in their career. At Graduate Diploma level students will explore higher-level aspects of their chosen field, or aspects that may be helpful as their career progresses or supports research. Masters students will complete research in an animal-related field, to a publishable standard.
