Splash pods

The lagre graphic area on many University website home pages is often referred to as the "splash pod". This area is designed to contain graphic elements, and occasionally text, that represent the unit or faculty's branding.

This would typically include some or all of these elements:

• Faculty or unit name
• Photographs or images that explain the role of the unit; these may rotate or transition to provide a selection of images
• Faculty or unit logo
• The colour(s) that are used in the rest of your marketing material
• A Flash movie, which may be quite elaborate and may even contain audio content
