Legislation
The University acts under State and Federal legislation relating to the provision of employment, education and the provision of goods and services to people with disabilities.

Disability in education guidelines are also available:
- The Disability Standards for Education (Commonwealth, 2005) clarify both the obligations on universities to provide accessible educational services to all students, and the rights and responsibilities of students.
- The AVCC Guidelines Relating to Students with a Disability (Australian Vice-Chancellors' Committee, May 2006) provide a framework for universities in providing accessible education to students with disabilities.
