Report to the Equal Opportunity for Women in the Workplace Agency

The University is required to report to the Commonwealth Equal Opportunity for Women in the Workplace Agency (EOWA) each year on its activities relating to equal opportunity and affirmative action for its women staff.

The report covers seven employment matters:
– recruitment and selection
– promotion, transfer and termination of employment
– training and development
– work organisation
– conditions of service
– arrangements for dealing with sex-based harassment
– arrangements for dealing with pregnant and potentially pregnant employees, and employees who are breast feeding.

The University has analysed its workforce to identify the issues for women employees, taken measures to address these issues, and has consequently been waived of the requirement to report every year.

Our waiving reports evaluate measures to address current issues for women in the University workforce:

The University of Sydney is an EOWA Employer of Choice for Women.
