2009 Health Sciences Projects
On-line support for teaching and learning scientific research methods for health sciences undergraduates (HSBH1007, HSBH3006 and BACH2140). PHASE 1
This project aims to enhance existing eLearning/WebCT sites to support the core health sciences research units HSBH1007 Health, Science & Research, HSBH3006 Research Methods in Health, and BACH2140 Research Methods for Health Sciences. The planned online learning environment will contain a body of knowledge for each unit (to be developed by academic staff of each unit), interactive tools that will allow students to navigate and explore any given topic in more depth, self-tests, links to the relevant materials on the Web, and discussion forums. Online activities will be closely linked to the content taught face-to-face.
Building eLearning Contexts in Health
The purpose of the project is to transform an existing unit of study in order to give educators the opportunity to learn and utilise the principles of good e-Learning design to develop eLearning in their health science teaching contexts.
Pilot iPod Touch case studies project
This proposal requests elearning assistance with a pilot project to develop three case studies for the Apple version of a Personal Digital Assistant, the iPod Touch.
Case based Learning in Pharmacology PHASE 1
An instructional designer and technical assistance are required to develop ideas related to design of material and to ensure the best use of available technologies for effective implementation, development of on-line discussion boards, assessment tools and evaluation.
Identifying and implementing an ICT application for collaborative, comparative and constructive online learning PHASE 1
Scoping part of the project to determine how to reach goal of facilitating both individual responsibility for learning and constructive collaborative learning.
Blended module template for NURS5025, NURS 5023, NURS 5024 and NURS5026 PHASE 1
The goal of the project will be to seek educational design support to create a blended eLearning template for use across post-graduate units of study in cancer nursing. This is specialist education for nurses who work in all areas of cancer care. Units of study are offered in intensive block mode. Student engagement prior to, during and after the block can be facilitated by a blended eLearning site with activities.
Mobilising multimedia resources to support clinical learning in Nursing
Development of an e-learning scaffold to provide staff and student access to multi-media resources that have been selected to underpin learning within the clinical units of study of the pre-registration Master of Nursing.
Extending the functionality of the 2007 online case based learning template and building another case
The goal of this project is to update and extend the functionality of the 2007 strategic eLearning development work with the CBL template piloted in NURS5007 Mental Health Nursing Practice I, in 2008 and to build the capacity for implementing up to 4 more mental health cases.
Faculty of Pharmacy eLearning site template review PHASE 1
This project aims to improve the functionality and usability of the Pharmacy eLearning sites by reviewing, re-organising and if indicated, re-designing the Faculty’s WebCT template.
