What do I need to use the University LMS (CE6)?
The University LMS (CE6) automatically checks that your computer is properly set up to use it (you can also perform the check yourself, see the note at the bottom of this page). When you reach the login page, you should see the following window, which explains what, if anything, needs to be updated before you begin accessing the eLearning sites for your units of study. This is called a Browser Check because you access the University LMS (CE6) through your internet browser (IE, Netscape, Firefox, etc).

Scroll down the page to ensure that your browser has passed all aspects of the check. (Green ticks are good!) If any aspects are marked with red crosses, read and follow the associated instructions to configure your browser appropriately.
If the browser check window can't be opened for some reason, My eLearning will display a warning (see the screen shot below) about programs that block browsers from opening new windows – also known as "pop-up blockers". There is more information about removing pop-up blockers in the help section of this site.

If you would prefer to check your browser's compatibility, simply go through the steps at http://www.webct.com/tuneup/
This will ensure that you are using a supported browser and includes step-by-step instructions to make sure your browser settings are optimized for the best possible My eLearning experience.
Some My eLearning courses may use browser plug-ins. To view portions of these sites, you may need one or more of the plug-ins below. Browsers will generally automatically download any plug-in required by a particular page.
- Adobe Reader
- Macromedia Flash
- Macromedia Shockwave
- Quicktime
- Real Player
- Windows Media Player
- Java SE Runtime Environment(JRE)
Visit Download browsers and select the browser you would like to upload from the list provided.
