Site Activation
Eventually all your work comes to fruition – you get an email telling you that the site has gone live and the number of students that are in it. This number of students may not match your exact expectations – it is the number of students that FlexSIS shows as currently enrolled in your unit of study and is loaded from student records. It is continually updated overnight during semester, so if students enrol late or withdraw this will usually be reflected in the site within a day or so. If the number of students is wildly wrong – eg, you have 15 students where you expected 470 or vice versa – please let us know as soon as possible in case something has gone wrong with this automated process.
You can check the number of students in your site by selecting the Teach tab. In the Instructor Tools list you will see the Gradebook link. Click on this link to open the Gradebook and check your enrolment numbers. A list of students will appear that you can sort in various ways by clicking on the header of each column. Any students who have withdrawn will have a red flag against their names and will be denied access to the course, even though their name still appears.
