Introductory training workshop
The introductory training series provides an overview of the university resources for building an online learning area. By the end of the Introductory eLearning training series you will be able to:
- commence building an online area for your unit of study.
- identify which eLearning resources are of most use to you.
- add these resources to your own site, modify them and incorporate them into your teaching.
- find and use the support resources available to assist you.
The introductory series runs over six two-hour sessions. It is recommended that you complete each session. If you cannot complete all the sessions in a single series, you can register for the missed sessions later.
The six topics covered are:
- Introduction to online learning
- Planning & designing online sites
- Evaluating & assessing online learning
- Designing communications activities
- The role of the online instructor
- Going live with eLearning
