University Museums School
Education Program

School excursions are available to the Nicholson Museum (Australia’s largest and oldest museum of classical antiquity), Macleay Museum (a museum of natural history, ethnography and history) and University Art Gallery, with specialist guides who are trained to help your interpretation of the displays. Guides are archaeologists, scientists and artists, who want to share their passion and experiences with you. You can participate in activities such as handling and recording genuine archaeological
artefacts and natural history specimens. Specialised tours of the museums and the grounds of the University can also be arranged.

The Education Program is designed to complement secondary school syllabuses, especially HSC courses, on subjects including ancient history, visual arts and biology.
