The Department of Education, Science and Training allocates funding through the Indigenous Tutorial Assistance Scheme (ITAS) for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students to receive tutoring, if needed, to assist them in getting through their courses and to achieve their best possible academic outcomes.

Tutoring can be arranged at any of the University’s campuses and in the case of block-mode students, tutors may also be found in your local area.

The Koori Centre and Yooroang Garang have dedicated staff who administer the ITAS Program and they also assist students in locating a tutor and working out a tutoring program.

Tutoring is provided at no cost to students.
