How to make your application more likely to succeed
- Make sure all your personal details are correct on the application form. Include a copy of the information page of your passport if possible.
- Include the Course Code and CRICOS code of the course(s) you wish to study on the application form. This information can be found on the course database.
- Make sure all required information and documents are included before you submit your application.
- Your transcripts of previous studies should include an explanation of the marking scale used.

How to complete your postgraduate application
- Be sure to read the application instructions carefully.
- To ensure that your application is complete and can be processed as quickly as possible, please check each item on the list below before returning the application to the International Office.
- You must include the Application Processing Fee for your application to be processed.
Certification
If you are sending a copy of an official document (eg, a transcript), the copy must be correctly certified by an appropriate authority. For a fuller explanation, and a list of authorised organisations, please read our certification policy.
Checklist
A. PERSONAL DETAILS
[__] Photocopy of your current passport and, if you already have one, your Australian visa stamp
[__] If your name has changed since your study records were issued - official evidence (documents) proving an official change of name
B. COURSE CHOICE
[__] Have you chosen courses that are available to international students?
[__] Have you included the Course Code and CRICOS Code for the course?
[__] Does the course you have chosen have an intake in the "proposed course start date" (i.e. March or July semester) which you have indicated?
C. EDUCATIONAL RECORD

[__] An original or certified copy of your transcript or mark sheets (in the original language) giving a complete list of the subjects studied and the results obtained in your high school or tertiary studies
[__] An original or certified copy of your official school leaving diploma or certificate (in the original language)
[__] A certified translation of any document not in English
[__] Certified academic records of any tertiary or Foundation studies you have undertaken
[__] If you have been excluded or are liable for exclusion (on any grounds) from any institution, faculty or course - provide details on a separate sheet of paper
[__] If applying for credit/advanced standing - detailed course outlines, certified copies of your academic transcripts, and a letter stating that you would like credit/advanced standing for the units of study (subjects) you have already done at the other university
Detailed course outlines include: unit of study (subject) descriptions, methods of teaching and assessment, reading lists, number of hours of teaching, the academic level of the units studied e.g. First Year, Second Year etc); an explanation of the grading system used at your institution; and information on the total number of unit of study requirement (i.e. how many credit points are required) for the completion of the degree you were taking at the other university.

D. ENGLISH PROFICIENCY
[__] Proof that you have satisfied the English language requirements:
- IELTS or TOEFL, or
- proof that your previous tertiary studies were in English, or in one of the following countries:
Canada, England, Fiji, Ireland, Kenya, New Zealand, Northern Ireland, Papua New Guinea, Scotland, Singapore, Solomon Islands, South Africa, USA, Wales, Western Samoa, Zambia
E. SCHOLARSHIPS
