Student organisations
Student organisations are an important part of university life. Being involved in non-academic interests at university helps you to develop a network of friends and to broaden your outlook and skills.
We have three kinds of organisations you automatically join on enrolment at the Camperdown and Darlington campus:
- University of Sydney Union (USU)
- Students' Representative Council
- sports organisations
Cumberland campus has its own Student Guild.
The Faculty of Rural Management at Orange, Sydney Conservatorium of Music and Sydney College of the Arts each have Students’ Associations on their campuses.
Clubs and societies
Joining a club is one of the best ways to get involved at university. During Orientation Week, the front lawn of the Camperdown Campus is covered with the stalls of more than 250 student clubs and societies. Over 40 international student groups also provide social networks and support for students.
