International Exchange Opportunities

Each year, more students broaden their personal, professional and academic horizons through the University of Sydney’s Student Exchange Program, which in enables students to study overseas for credit towards your degree.

Exchange programs are not just for undergraduate students. The University currently has over 150 student exchange agreements across most faculties, many of which are open to both postgraduate coursework and research students. These agreements are spread across institutions throughout Asia, Western Europe, Canada, the United States of America and the United Kingdom. Courses are taught both English and various foreign languages. New programs are regularly added as the University of Sydney identifies more strategic partnerships.

As a full-time student, you can spend a semester or a year of your degree overseas completing study that can be credited towards your Sydney degree. While many research postgraduates already spend time overseas, the exchange program allows you to do this with the supportive infrastructure of both the host university and your home university.

General eligibility and selection criteria apply.

Certain institutions may also have additional criteria. Scholarships are available.
