RIAP Internship Programs

The Research Institute for Asia and the Pacific (RIAP), of the University of Sydney offers short-term internship program to outstanding students who are considering a career which involves links with the Asia Pacific region. Through a carefully customised internship program, RIAP provides undergraduate and postgraduate students scope to develop their professional skill through short-term on the job experience and exposure to issues relating to the Asia Pacific region. The internships are available year-round or as a short-term holiday program. Students are required to commit at least 10 hours per week. An intern's duties may comprise a combination of research, administration, editing and writing, and coordination of events. Places are strictly limited.

Australia: Business & Government Program
3 week intensive study tour program + internship (optional)

Australia: Business and Government is an intensive, short-term practical study tour program. Involving a mix of lectures, round-table discussions, industry panel presentations, workshops and site visits/tours, the program offers an excellent opportunity for students to gain insight and knowledge into current issues and challenges in Australia's political economy; corporate environment; and government structures and functions. As an option, the program can also include a one-month internship with business, government and non-government organisations. However internship places are strictly limited.
