Getting there
By train
The nearest railway station to the Cumberland campus is Lidcombe station. It takes approximately 20-30 minutes to walk to campus from the station.
By bus
Westway Bus & Coach Service buses depart from outside Lidcombe railway station on the southern side and from Cumberland campus.
915 - Lidcombe / TAFE / University (semester only):
During lecture weeks from Monday to Friday only, 915 buses travel along East Street and terminate at the campus bus stop, just inside Gate 2, near the Administration Building, then return to Lidcombe Station. Frequency - every 7 minutes in peak morning and afternoon periods, and every 15 minutes at other times during the day. 915 buses operate from approximately 7am to 6pm. In Stu-Vac and exam periods, the 915 service runs every 15 minutes.
920 - Lidcombe / Bankstown (stops in East Street, near Gate 1):
This year-round service does not enter campus, but stops in East Street, near Gate 1. In peak morning and afternoon periods, buses run every 30 minutes and outside those times, every 60 minutes. The 920 service operates from approximately 6am to 6pm on weekdays. Weekend services are less frequent.
Campus After Hours Bus Service (during semester):
During semester, Cumberland campus provides an after hours bus service to Lidcombe station, departing from the bus stop just inside Gate 2.
Parking
Visitor parking
Visitors should enter via Gate 2, or make prior arrangement for parking through the department or office they are visiting. The casual parking fee is $2.70 per day. Free parking is available on East Street outside the Campus.
Student parking
On-campus parking for students during semester is limited to 210 car spaces. Entry to the car-park at Gate 3 is by access card only. Cards and access credits must be pre-purchased (currently $2.70 per card plus fee per entry credit) from the mini-cashier outside the Library. The use of this card is valid only at Gate 3 car park.
A small number of car spaces is alloted each year by ballot to postgraduate students.
