Research scholarships at the University of Sydney
Our cutting edge research has led to our position as the national leader in research income and research publications and are attracting the brightest students to our postgraduate degree programs.
The University of Sydney offers more that 600 research scholarships for students enrolling in a postgraduate research degree in 2010. These include:
- The Vice-Chancellor’s Research Scholarships (VCRS) are offered to attract students with an outstanding track record of academic achievement and research potential to pursue full-time PhD study at the University of Sydney. Up to 20 VCRS will be awarded every year.
- Australian Postgraduate Awards (APA) scholarships are awarded to students of exceptional research potential to undertake a higher degree by research at an Australian university. The scholarships are provided to assist with general living costs.
New Zealand citizens
Did you know that New Zealand citizens are eligible to apply for all scholarships available to Australian residents?
