The Cadigal scheme

This scheme is both a special entry scheme and an academic support program for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants from all types of academic backgrounds. It is available for admission into all of the University’s undergraduate courses which are offered through UAC.

The scheme is intended to encourage greater participation in tertiary education by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.

Applying under this scheme, like all special admission schemes at the University, is optional. You are not required to apply for admission under this scheme if you are an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander applicant.

The scheme is managed by the Koori Centre for the majority of the University’s courses. Yooroang Garang manages the scheme for courses offered by the Faculty of Health Sciences at Lidcombe Campus.

If you are interested in applying for consideration under this scheme you should contact either the Koori Centre or Yooroang Garang (if you want to study a course offered by the Faculty of Health Sciences).

You apply for admission through the Universities Admissions Centre. You may also need to attend an interview.
