Why did you decide to do honours? I liked it so much that three years wasn't enough! Seriously–it offered a chance to extend and deepen my knowledge of my chosen subject area in a way that isn't possible solely with the simple degree, and it is attractive to future employers: it demonstrates a higher capability of thought and application, and a willingness to pursue complex, large-scale projects through to completion.
What did you get out of your honours year? A deeper understanding of my subject area, more sophisticated problem-solving, interpersonal and written communication skills, research experience, and the ability to manage my time effectively on a large-scale project.

How do I apply?

There is no standard application process to study Honours at the University of Sydney as all admissions are handled by the individual faculties.

You can find all the information you need, however, in three easy steps.

Determine the faculty in which you wish to enrol.

You can study your Honours year in each of the following areas:
