Jane Johnson has an eclectic range of philosophical interests which include philosophy of science, philosophy of law, idealism and idealist logic, Kant, Hegel and ethics.
Current projects
Jane is currently pursuing collaborative research on the epistemological and ethical aspects of the use of non-human animals in biomedicine, as well as on examining scientific responsibility and the dual use dilemma in the life sciences. Research arising from her book involves developing a Hegelian theory of rights and recognition. Jane is also working on a paper about how best to teach history and philosophy of science to science students.
