Compass

Compass is ICT’s online work request and tracking system. Requests for work can be put forward via your ICT Relationship Manager or your Solution Manager.

Benefits of Compass include:

  • Implementation of strategic approval process in partnership with ICT;
  • Increased focus on university strategic objectives;
  • Reduction in duplication of ideas/project submission;
  • Long term sustainability;
  • Single contact point (Project Request Process Coordinator);
  • Online tracking mechanism of progress of proposal assessment; and
  • Reduction of costs.

Compass overview

Below is a brief summary of the primary stages of Compass:

  1. Discuss your request for work with your Relationship Manager or Solution Manager
  2. Relationship Manager and Solution Managers meet to discuss the ICT Work Request with the requester
  3. The request for work is entered into Compass by an ICT Solution Owner at the request of the relevant Solution Manager
  4. The request for work is prioritised by the Solution Manager in light of other requests with the senior portfolio stakeholders
  5. request for work is considered by the Solution Services Management Group for approval
  6. The request for work is considered by the ICT Investment Council for funding
