About

The Client Services unit provides support and information services to staff and students of the University for the Information and Communications services provided by the ICT portfolio. These services include

IT Helpdesk
Computer Access Labs
Desktop Support
Software licensing management
Remote campus IT support
University Switchboard
The ITAssist website

The Helpdesk provides first level assistance to clients who need help with their use of computing equipment and access to University Network facilities. This includes assistance with internet and administrative systems access and use, the logging of network and computing equipment faults and the maintenance of an extensive online library of documentation relating to the use of support systems.

The Computer Access Labs are available as general computing facilities for all students and staff of the University. The labs provide facilities for the preparation and printing of assignments, access to the internet and email and library databases, as well as access to teaching materials used in coursework.

The Desktop Support teams provide telephone and onsite support for office computers, peripherals and printers used by the staff of the University.

ICT Support on campuses other than Camperdown and Darlington is a growing area in which Client Services is involved.
