Conference Support

ICT in co-operation with the Community Portfolio and Financial Shared Services has established a new Conference Support Service for the University. Using Events Pro and Events Interactive, a new conference support service team will be established in the first half of 2008. The service will focus on providing faculties, schools and business units with a range of conference support services, including the provision of online registration and electronic payment.

“It is the combination of direct business services supported by a comprehensive online conference registration application that makes the Conference Support Service unique,” said ICT Director of Shared Services and Relationship Management, Geoffrey Brown. For the first time many university faculties, schools and business units will have access to first class conference support resources and expertise. “The establishment of the new service reduces duplication and centralises key services with a view to making it as simple as picking up the telephone to ask for help to stage a conference or an event within the university,” added Brown.
