Geoff Gordon

Geoff Gordon was working for ICT as a Relationship Manager for 18 months before stepping into this new role as an ICT Solutions Manager.
With over 20 years experience in IT systems development and management, Geoff intends to create an understanding for IT solutions in his area, to enhance the stability of our current systems and to develop a solution-based view for the future needs of the University in Learning, Teaching and Research.
One of Geoff’s goals is to enhance the University’s existing learning and teaching objectives by continuing implementation of learning solutions such as podcasting, recorded lectures and video-conferencing.
He will be working closely with Sydney eLearning as the major source of Learning and Teaching solutions strategy. In the research field, Geoff aims to develop IT services that improve the University’s current storage and access systems for research data.
Apart from his ‘ICT persona’, Geoff is a passionate bridge player and ‘active’ observer of sporting events who would love to get Wednesday mornings off in order to chase across the golf course – a dream he has kept up for most of his working life.
