Accessing Sydney Mail

Please read the following instructions carefully to seamlessly log into Sydney Mail:

• Your Windows Live ID follows the format unikey@uni.sydney.edu.au
• Go to https://www.outlook.com
• Optional: If you have issues logging in, update your Unikey Password and wait for 15 minutes
• Once logged in, Mail, Calendar and Contact Lists are on your left

Password Rules

Please note these rules about choosing a password for Sydney Mail:

* The password is case-sensitive
* The password can contain upper and lower case letter
* The password can contain numbers (it must contain at least one digit)
* The password can contain the following ASCII text characters: ` ~ ! @ # $ % ^ * ( ) _ + { } [ ] \ : " ; ' > ? , . /
* The minimum password length is six characters
* The maximum password length is eight characters

Please also note these restrictions about choosing a password:

* The password can't contain:
o Non English characters
o Spaces
o The ampersand character (&)
o The less than character (<)
o Your login name
o If you are a student and using Sydney Mail the password should not be the same as the answer to your Secret Question on the outlook.com website.
