Personal website hosting

The University provides private website hosting services for UniKey account holders. This hosting is enabled via the addition of the "Unix" option to an account, or by increasing the "Disk Space" quota of the account to more than 100Mb. This can be done via the add/remove options section of our UniKey section. Please check the pricing information section before enabling these options. Websites provided in this manner take the form.

(where Username is the user's UniKey username).

Files can be uploaded to the site using the ftp server

ftp://ftp.usyd.edu.au

and should be placed in the public-html directory. You should also ensure that the file permissions are set to world readable.
