Booking Rooms

Although the main purpose of ICT Access Labs is to provide computing facilities for student use, they are also equipped to provide computer lab facilities to Departments of the University (where this does not interfere with student use).

Please be advised that bookings during Stuvac and University Examination periods are frozen EXCEPT for exam bookings.

Online Bookings

To make a booking:

For Sydney University Staff:

  • Using your staff unikey login in the format "MCS\unikey", open this page
  • View the Calendar for a list of available timeslots
  • Click on the "Add new event" link under "Requests for Bookings"
  • Wait for confirmation via email OR check the site regularly for updates


For External Clients:

Additional Software Requirements

In general, we now require a minimum 1 month notice to process any software needs.

Here is a list of our current list of supported software.

To request software beyond what we currently have, please follow the relevant booking steps listed above and specify your software needs.

We would prefer to accommodate all needs wherever technologically possible, however do reserve the right to decline a request if we cannot deliver due to poor lead times or inadequate information.

Other Equipment

A Data Projector is not available in our rooms. These can be sourced through Audio Visual Services.

We do advise that an inspection of the premises be made beforehand to minimise planning issues with data projectors.

Conditions of Use

  • The lab must be left in the state that it was found.
  • No food or drink may be consumed in the lab during the course of the booking.
