College Internet Access

If you are trying to connect to the internet on Wireless, on campus or at any of the University Colleges (eg: SUV, St Johns), you will be required to change proxy settings to the USYD Proxy settings.

If you are using wireless, you have the ability to use FREE CACHE, which allows 6mb of free internet viewing a day. See the settings below.

In Internet Explorer, go to Tools and then Internet Options

Click on the Connections tab

Click on LAN Settings under the Local Area Network [LAN] settings heading

Tick Use Automatic Configuration Script and enter: http://www.usyd.edu.au/proxy.pac

In Firefox, go to Tools and Options

Under the Advanced tab, choose the Network tab

Then Select Settings under Connection

Under the Safari menu, select Preferences

Next to Proxies click on the Change settings... button
