Binh Pham – SUIHAA Treasurer
Binh arrived in Sydney on the 28th of February 1998 as a postgraduate student at Sydney University. She found IH as a very warm welcoming place to live “home away from home”, even though she could stay for 6 months only at IH. She started her involvement with SUIHAA in 2000. She has been working in the School of Chemistry, Sydney University since 2002, working on polymer nanotechnology which can be applied in paints or as drug delivery vehicles.
Wafa Dabbas
Wafa Dabbas serves in the committee during 2008 and 2009. She stayed at International House between 1999 and 2002. The House was her first home away from Jordan. Previously, she served in various roles at Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation, and Ministry of Public Works and Housing in Jordan. She represented these organisations in several international courses in countries such as the United States, Sweden and Japan.
Wafa Dabbas holds a BSc and MSc in Civil Engineering from Jordan and England respectively, and is a member of the Institute of Engineers Australia. She has also submitted her PhD thesis to the University of Sydney. She is fluent in Arabic and loves trying her French.
