Testimonials

“The one thing that struck me when I first arrived in IH is the aura of both maturity and friendliness that is unlike any other boarding college I’ve been to (and I’ve seen a fair few). Here, people from many parts of the world including Australia, mix and interact in a much more enriching and thoughtful way.

In IH, there is always the atmosphere of friendliness and solidarity – as local and international students living away from home, as well as just being good friends, regardless of age, race or religion.”

“When deciding to move to Sydney from a rural town in central NSW I was a bit apprehensive about choosing the right college. We looked at others, but IH stood out and it had an appeal that really stuck in my mind.

Everyone in IH becomes not just friends, but family. We are a close community linked by our differences and the distance of our families. Not only do you learn your course at University, but you also get a crash course in new cultures, languages and cuisines.

I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else. The house is bound by true friendship that will no doubt carry on in years to come.”

“I have been a resident at International House for over 3 years. It is such a great place to live. The friendly staff help every resident in the House as much as they can. Living at International House is a great opportunity for international students to live together and be part of a multicultural experience. I never feel lonely when there is a huge amount of events throughout the academic year, such as the International Food Fair, International Night and so on. It is such a nice place to make friends from all over the world and enjoy the life together at International House.”
