To Change an Existing Entry

To change an entry, first use the form above to find the entry. The entry will have a "Change entry " entry which you should activate. You will then be presented with a form which allows you to modify the entry.

The two following links provide you with modification forms where all the fields are empty: white or yellow blank forms.

This service is, of course, password protected and is intended for departments to query their telephone statements.

Note How to Conduct a Search

The search is not case sensitive.
The order of the words within fields is not important, e.g. "john doe" is equivalent to "doe john".
The character * is a wildcard and will match any sequence of characters.
- "for*" will find, for instance, Ford, Forsythe and Foreman.
- "rob* jon*" would, for example, match "Robert Jones" and "Jon Robertson".
- "stephen *m*" would, for example, match "Stephen Williams".
- You cannot put a * at the start of a field.
- The above rules apply to all the other fields.
The character ? will match exactly one character. For example, "sm?th" would match Smith and Smyth.
The construct [chars] matches any single character in chars. If chars contains a sequence of the form a-b then any character between a and b (inclusive) will match.
The Name field should be used for the department name when doing a yellow pages query. However, due to popular demand, if the Name field is empty and the Department field is non-empty, the search will be silently turned into a yellow pages search with the department used as the name.
Primary searches may be made using the Name, Position, Phone, and Email fields. When the Department is specified it will only be used as a secondary field. Note: When used as a secondary field either the whole department name must be entered or just the first word of the department.
To search for a department, select yellow pages and put the department name in the Name field.
Position is ignored for a yellow pages search.
There is a restriction on the number of entries returned for each search. So, for common names (such as, Lee, smith and John) there could be too many entries to print. You could try restricting the search by using some part of their other name (as above), or by specifying a department.
