Welcome to the Innovation and Technology in Education Ventures Unit (iTEV) website.

The recent Crafting Sydney’s Future: Learning in the 21st Century Symposium highlighted a range of issues that must now inform our thinking about the way in which we go about the process of teaching at Universities. It also brought to our attention the experiences and needs of the learners.

We are faced then, with the twin challenge of adapting to the needs and expectations of this new generation of learners whilst continuing to uphold the high standards of academic rigor that The University of Sydney is globally recognized for. As well as this we must look to a work-balance that allows for the continuation of original research as well as the needs of teachers.

The iTEV Unit aims to be a key player in helping departments and academics to meet these challenges by offering services that aim to assist in the development and nurture of innovative, effective and long-term viable academic programmes at The University.
