Past Events
iTEV often hosts or helps to organise events for The University Community across a wide range of areas and topics - from launches to lunch-time seminars and conferences. Below are some of our more recent events.
In late 2005 The Open and Distance Learning Association of Australia (ODLAA) held it's biennial conference in South Australia. Anne Forster, Director of iTEV and the current president of ODLAA, took the opportunity of having some of the world's leading experts in the field of innovation in teaching and learning in Australia to organise a daylong symposium in November of 2005.
The event, Crafting Sydney's Future, was supported by the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Learning and Teaching) Professor Judyth Sachs and was held in the Eastern Avenue Lecture Complex on the Main University of Sydney Campus at Camperdown.

In February 2006 iTEV was contacted by Colin Lonergan of The World Bank with a request for use of an appropriate video-conferencing facility at The University to launch the World Banks half-yearly report on the East Asia and Pacific Region.
What was initially supposed to be 40 or so people linking to a video-conference for the launch became a full-scale launch held in Maclaurin Hall and attended by media, ambassadorial staff and interested members of the public. This was the first the first occasion that the World Bank had launched the report in this manner.
The event was highly successful and provided a chance for The University to shine on the international economic stage. For more information including a podcast of the event please visit the Media Office Website
